So far, so good! Wearable

Received this swimsuit today; I've tried it on and walked around the house but haven't had a chance to test it in the water yet. Once I do that I will definitely update my review. I had read the reviews before ordering (thanks ladies for the helpful photos!) so I knew what to order. However I was still not sure what size would fit so I ordered this gray suit in 4XL and the same style in mint green 5XL. For reference, this morning I'm 5'6" and 216 pounds. My measurements are 44" bust (38D bra), 41" natural waist, 44" at the fullest part of the stomach and 47" at the hips I wear a size 16/XL in most pants and XL in most tops. When I gain and lose weight it usually spreads evenly but lately my stomach has suffered more.Let's get to the suit.I have one first Tried on 4XL suit as it was at the top of the box. Before I put it on I checked it for imperfections as there were many reviews of holes in the seams or the underwire/lining had come loose.!It has underwired foam cups that were *almost* in the right place.Other reviewers have commented that the waist is a little short and I agree. If it weren't for these reviews I would blame my bloated tummy; if my tummy were flatter , the suit would appear longer on the torso. strong. The leg cut They fit perfectly and are neither too high nor too low. They didn't move when I walked, so I still had full front and back coverage. Even with my big belly, the ruffles were still "ruffled". My only complaint is the upper back; It's just loose enough that I had to pull it up once or twice while walking. Anything else fits well enough, sizing it down the back to fit better doesn't work, so I'll over-seam the top side seams a bit. I've attached a photo of the front view. The construction is well done for a $25 suit. The stitching on what I received is strong and I'm not worried about it tearing. It's not punches; This costume won't hold you back. Ordering a size smaller will probably help *a little* from that, but I wouldn't risk it as stretching the thin material/seams will shorten the lifespan of the suit and could result in a wardrobe malfunction. . The front section is double-layered, ie the white mesh layer is covered with the jersey fabric. White mesh is attached to the "panty part" and the tricot fabric is untied at the bottom, creating a pseudo-tankini. The slip portion is so high that you don't miss any important details when you fold down the "tankini" - since it is attached to the side seams, you hardly have a chance to roll it up anyway. The back consists of a single layer of tricot. I couldn't see through the back like some reviews said, but it wasn't tight on my butt either. If I reduced the size I would worry about the transparency. As the gray 4XL suit fits so well I didn't originally want to try the mint green number 5XL but changed my mind to offer more. full review. The green suit also showed no flaws. The stomach area fitted well as that's where I carry extra weight again, but nothing else helped. The cups were too big. It offered no support because the back was too big to get the cups close enough to my body. The material curled around my lower back like shirts do when you have a sagging back. The leg holes were a bit big, so walking meant they crawled up and exposed more of my buttocks than the world should see. All in all a terrible fit. I've attached a snapshot of the rear view as this is where most of the fitting issues occurred. Overall I am happy with my purchase. Again, I'll update my review once I've tested it in the water and worn it for more than a few minutes.
