I always wear good gloves when working outside to protect my hands and not lose control of the various tools I use in our hot and humid climate. When I first used this pair I was impressed with the size (large) and found that they were flexible enough to carry for small and intricate work. The "endurance test" for me is being able to open a can of Diet Coke with gloves. While they come in handy when working with tools or in the garden, I wouldn't attempt to pick or trim any of the many Florida plants that grow in the garden. come with rivets or spikes. That's not what these gloves are for. However, they provide a good grip for your garden tools and do a good job in the mud. The price is great, they're perfect for a big guy, and they're flexible enough for note-taking. Highly recommended for light work.
