I bought this to replace my Kindle Lemon and I love it. I mainly use it for reading with the Kindle app and checking email, so keep that in mind. It's light and I have the white and silver one so it's very pretty. The only thing I didn't notice when ordering is that it's a kid's version, which as far as I can tell just means it comes with an app that makes the device safe for kids. I removed that part and now it's just a regular tablet. It's pretty fast, has plenty of storage space, and the ability to add more with a micro SD card. The only complaint I have is that it takes some time to charge. Once charged, it lasts for days on a charge (again, I only use it to read and check email, so I don't see video streaming or anything like that), but when it's empty it takes several hours to charge. Not a big deal, but my old Kindle charged quickly. I agree to the compromise. This is a refurbished tablet but so far it works like new. No questions. I've been using it for a little over two weeks and read for a few hours every day. I'm very happy with it and that I was able to save some money by buying used.
