Review on Sensory-Friendly Girls' Dresses: Discover the Comfort of City Threads Sensitive Clothing by Todd Roberts

Comfortable Touch Everyday Dress

I love this dress on my daughter. It's very comfortable and soft which she loves and we both love the color and the stripes. I thought it was a nice touch that City Threads sewed the stitching in a different color (pink). My child has some sensory issues with clothes and this dress got her approval but it is tagged so it may not fit everyone. In autumn and winter we combine them with City Threads leggings. As a side note, we also have the City Threads Cotton Long Sleeve Twirly Skater Party Dress and I have to say that I prefer this dress to the latter because this dress has a bit more weight, although I would still call it a light dress. I think the polyester/cotton blend makes this dress bulkier than a 100% cotton dress. Just my personal opinion. These are different dress styles, so this isn't an apples-to-apples comparison, but since we have two dresses I thought I'd just mention it. Alright, back to that dress. Quality: We have several pieces of clothing from City Threads and they never disappoint when it comes to quality. It seems that they are double stitched and there are no protruding threads. Size: For some reason City Threads sizing gets a little wobbly on larger sizes or at least 10. According to the size chart, size 10 should fit an 8-9 year old. I ordered 10 as my daughter is 9 1/2 and 60lbs and while I know things are a bit big for her as she is skinny I thought this dress should fit as she is 9 years old is old and falls within their age group. according to the schedule. As you can see from the photo, the sleeves are really VERY long. My daughter definitely prefers "comfy" clothes so a looser dress isn't a big deal, but the dress has too much in common at the moment so I'll save that for next year and give her a gift. It's time to face it, although we most likely still have to roll up our sleeves. I understand that if I want my daughter to wear anything from City Threads now, I'll probably have to go down to a size 8 for my daughter. I'm still giving this dress five stars because the quality is excellent, the dress is amazing and I have no problem putting things off until next year. I think we're going to get a lot of wear and tear from it next year.

Pros
  • When your name is associated with the small breasts of celebrities like Ashlee Simpson Wentz, Christina Aguilera, Liv Schrieber, Sandra Bullock, etc., the clothes will sell more easily. Add to the glory the fact that the clothes are made in the USA and you have a gold mine!
Cons
  • Legacy Model
