Simply plug and play! I have two TVs close enough to each other that the sound carries from one room to the next (family room and kitchen). They are always on same channel as we constantly are going back and forth between the rooms. There was a several second delay when streaming content and the difference drove us crazy. These sync both the picture and audio perfectly! Note that you do need an HDMI splitter from the source, but I got one from amazon for under $14. And I already had coax running between the sets.
