Bought with a Mightyvac MV5534 to test the compression on my 1997 7.3L Powerstroke. He took out the glow plug and screwed it right in with his fingers. It was cold in the shop so I accepted the suggestion of using a heat gun to heat/soften the hose. Works great! Sits well, doesn't flow. There is no O-ring to fiddle with.
