The camera integrated seamlessly with my current Dzees app and only took a few minutes to set up and configure. Installation. Installation was easy too. Personally, I'm not a proponent of pedestal mounting. Earlier Dzees cameras offered two mounting options. Pedestal mount and magnetic mount. They seem to have moved away from the magnetic mounts, which I really liked for the ease of installation and distance to the store. Quality. The camera offers night vision with dual white light source. Which I honestly don't think is night vision when you have to turn on the lights to provide color video. But the standard IR night vision is clear and good quality. While the maximum firing range is 33 feet. I've found you still get good quality up to 28 feet. Rechargeable. Subscription prices range from $3 to $32 depending on the plan. a person, pet, package or vehicle and will alert you accordingly. But the Activity Zone is the actual part that I would like to have as part of the app without having to pay for it. This allows you to mark specific areas to alert you. It's very convenient for me. For example, I have a camera looking down my driveway and I fly the flag almost all the time. The flag constantly triggers movement alerts. So I have to turn off motion detection and notifications, otherwise the battery will drain much faster. With Activity Zones I can set the flag to be out of my detection zone. That way it doesn't cause any movement and therefore I can leave motion detection on and still have the security I want from this camera to detect anything that moves that isn't in the range of my flag's movement. You also get cloud storage with a paid subscription. . But I prefer SD cards for several reasons. I am in control of my own recordings and can still record if the power gets hacked or goes out because storing data elsewhere does not depend on the internet. Just something to note. As mentioned, the manufacturer offered a magnetic mount, which I really like. It's sad for me, but it's still a great camera system.
