I've tried this on several different computers and tried plugging the power cord into several different places (there are 3 places you can use on this cable) and the computer keeps disconnecting from the device . This happens regardless of whether something is connected to the other side or not. I've tried plugging in something as small as a Logitech Unifying receiver and the same thing happens. I also bought a powered hub to plug into the end of the cable, thinking the problem was the USB device drawing too much current, but the problem persisted. I held this device for too long before using it; But if I was still within the return period I would try to get my money back. Lesson learned.
