First Thoughts: This backpack is slightly better than previous versions.

Back in 2017 I bought an old version of this backpack. I wanted something that wasn't obviously a camera bag and that still is the case as I recently bought this version to replace my 2017's. The old backpack had its own problems, e.g. B. the camera grips broke after a few uses, or the divider in the main compartment was attached with velcro and not strong enough to support much weight. Small things, but overall the bag was so good that I decided to get a new camera bag from CADen. What I like this time, which I consider an improvement, is that the divider of the main compartment has a zipper instead of velcro, so I think it should be more secure (I will go out and use the bag for the first time). The lower part, which houses the camera, only has an extendable handle on one side, which has room for a water bottle on the other side; This is a big plus as the previous version didn't have this and didn't have a water bottle compartment and as a photographer the last thing I want to keep is a water bottle especially on a hike where I'm taking pictures in nature etc. Also is the camera bay taller (height) which now allows me to hold the vertical battery grip. Overall this bag is a bit smaller than the old version and I like that it feels a bit more compact. The shoulder straps also feel more comfortable and reinforced than the previous version. I like to keep them from the old version to this version at the top of the main compartment, the older version had a mesh pocket and two additional small pockets for loose items. In this version I've removed the mesh pocket where I put my Moleskin notebook, pen, lens cleaner, etc. and now two additional smaller pockets where I put filters or extra batteries, memory cards, etc. is now one large one Pocket . which you can close with a zipper, which cannot hold the same amount of items as the old mesh and two smaller pockets. The top is slightly smaller to compensate for the high camera bay height, which isn't a big deal. I can still attach three extra camera lenses, but now I'm not sure how many extra small items I can carry as I don't want to, so they bump into my lenses. Oh finally, this mesh water bottle holder is so small and the material is sewn so tight that even after stretching, I can't fit my water bottles (that's with my camera and lens in the main bottom compartment), so I'll have to get one buy smaller thin, which I do not want to do. Overall I think the bag is a little better than the previous one and would love to see some of the old with the new in a future bag. I will go out and use it and update this review if necessary but these are my first thoughts as I have changed all my gear in this bag.
