Our 5 year old showed great interest in taking photos with our phones or my DSLR so I wanted to find the right camera to help him develop his interest to wake up. I liked the idea of an instant camera, but the interchangeable films in popular designs were too expensive for me. I finally stumbled across this camera and am very happy with it. Each film lasts for MANY shots, in 2 months we have never had to buy a refill. The screen means you can view previous images and print again if the original is damaged. You can even turn off the instant print feature and print only the pictures you need, which many other instant cameras don't do. Image quality isn't always perfect, but with the right lighting, you can get very sharp black and white photos. My only complaint would be the difficulty when trying to change settings, it's hard to remember how to navigate without a manual for reference. It's just a product with many options with a few buttons to control them. The kid can just turn it on and start taking pictures.
