This power supply might be overkill for me, but I needed a completely silent power supply that would suffice for future upgrades. I never get such high loads on the components in my system that the PSU fan spins up at all and makes unwanted noise like my last one. When I bought it, it was of course one of the most efficient and best rated power supplies, alongside the RM1000x. The price seems to fluctuate, often rising ridiculously high for each of these models. I bought it for about $100 and when I posted it it was up to $150. The RM100x I saw for $120 is now around $175. I can only surmise that their "legendary" efficiency ratings mean they're so in demand by some website guy that I've forgotten his name, who does all PSU testing. definitely. It drives the following and the fan never spins except during bootup: AMD Ryzen 1700 OC up to 3.9GHz Asus Prime B350-Plus Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 Corsair 3000MHz RAM 2 x 8GB Corsair H100i v21 SSD3 HDD It will Run your stuff and it's super quiet.
