I bought this pillow to be comfortable while lounging on the couch or sleeping. I am not pregnant - I have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome which causes hypermobility of the joints. I usually need several smaller pillows to keep me in a comfortable sleeping position. This pillow made it possible to throw them away and just use this pillow! It is spiral/curved in shape and twists or bends easily so it can support my cervical and lumbar spine and sometimes I wrap it under my knees for support and sometimes under my arms/shoulders. The padding is soft enough to be comfortable but firm enough to provide support. It's not hard support, I would say it's medium support. It comes with a zipped pillowcase which is cool to the touch, perfect for me as I'm always hot! I would definitely recommend this pillow to anyone with painful or sprained joints due to EDS or other connective tissue or rheumatologic conditions. I'm not pregnant so I can't talk about it. The price matches that. It was risky to buy it first without reviews but in the end it turned out to be a great pillow. I sleep better with it :)
