Runs a little small

Very nice shirt but runs small. My daughter wears a number 4 and I bought a number 5 hoping to fit a long sleeve shirt for the fall weather to wear with pants and cute boots but it definitely doesn't seem like the size of the shirt isn't that , what I wanted. I think this brand doesn't have a lot of sales because the denim dress I bought for my daughter was the same.
