The lines from the 1oz side for 1/2 and 3/4 are still visible in the darker band.

I work as a bartender at 2 locations with this tool. One spot is darker at night and I can still see my 3/4 and 1/2 lines. Metallic black is also good as most lights are silver. Def would recommend. If your bar is very dark, it may be harder to see. But once you use the device, it's just second nature
