Review on 🌳 Woods Outdoor Control Photocell 59405WD by Jesus Jenkins

I would like to speak frankly about this product, my experience is much better than the negative reviews. I've bought 5ea from Revain and a few more from stores and they all work well. (I can't say how long they will last at this time.) However, there are a few important things to keep in mind. 1) This product raises or lowers the lamp position. If you have a small mount, the sensor/light may not fit. Or you find the position of the new bulb undesirable. 2) This is a general purpose product. The on/off time is highly dependent on how much daylight the sensor can see. The sensitivity of the device is somewhat adjustable. You can remove the photocell cover if the light stays on for too long. I have 5 of these installed in my main house. Each location "sees” a different amount of daylight. Therefore I removed the "shadow cover" of the light barrier in some places and not in others. Also, for my porch, I not only removed the "lampshade" but also cut off part of the small tube under the lampshade. This allows the photocell to "see" more daylight in that darker location, turning off the light at will. Conclusion: This device works very well, but is not suitable for all locations.
