Seems to work well. Attaching the lid isn't very convenient but I don't care as my box sits inside and will always have a cable attached to it It is easy to remove. You need a hole diameter of at least 1". It will not fit a 15/16" hole. It fits a little loose in the roughly 1-1/16 inch hole in my box (maybe 27mm). I think it will seal that hole. Standard 3/4" cutouts in electrical equipment are often 1-1/8". I think the compaction would be marginal in a hole that big. I think this will work even in a 1-1/4" hole, but it won't be watertight. The nested side has a ribbed seal that is larger than the o-ring on the other side. It can be inserted backwards and the locking ring will fit either side Be careful when dealing with a water seal.
