Not strong, very thin and flimsy plastic. You'll have to use a regular shovel to scrape through the crate to remove the big, heavy chunks. Then use it to move the junk to get tiny pieces that fell off the lumps because it can't lift much weight. This works well, but a thicker, stronger, thinly slotted blade of this design could get the job done more efficiently.
