This is a GREAT stool. I found another stool that I liked better, but what was on the scale was that it has a storage compartment (which is quite large) AND doubles as a coffee table (I use mine as a bedside table when not using it as a stool ). ). I basically got it for the function of the chair. That's why I deducted a star (actually I would give 4.5). I'm working from home due to the current global pandemic and need something for a small space so I've been sitting on this thing for over 7 hours at a time and it's surprisingly comfortable. I'm only deducting a star because the top of the chair flattened a bit from sitting. never mind It just doesn't look as smooth and fluffy now (you can see what I mean in the picture). Very high quality craftsmanship and they send you all the hardware to put it together. I would buy it again and definitely recommend it!
