when the switch is off. ☹️ Thought I'd like lightbulbs to turn off the electricity, but they're short-lived. Poorly built. Does not light up after a few hours of normal use. By pressing the base in the right place and touching both contact points, the bulb will light up with a normal hand squeeze; but it doesn't work in the socket. Either a contact wire or a resistor. The battery inside is holding power, but the cable connector is defective. Bought 6 bulbs, one burned out when first turned on, others burned out after a few hours of use. I do not recommend this product.
