More for looks than functionality
Bought for my 4 year old daughter who loves The Mandalorian. The towel is a bit small, and when the iodine cap is put on, the towel ends around her waist. It's not super soft, but it's not super scratchy either. Because it's so small, it doesn't absorb as much as a regular towel. This would be fine for the beach or pool where your child dries off a bit while sitting outside and doesn't want the towel dragging on the floor, but I wouldn't use it as a bath towel after a bath or shower where you are hoping to completely dry your child before putting on new clothes.
