Handle runs smoothly and feels solid but metal seam is an issue. The lower section, made of cheap brass-colored metal, is joined to the upper section with a sharp, sharp, sharp seam just below the handle. The product needs adjustment - that's why I bought it - but my fingers scratch the sharp seam every time. This is so bad that I have to come up with a solution, like wrapping a piece of thick tape over a sharp edge. The installation of the product is interesting in that you disassemble the lamp to remove the old socket. The disassembly has an educational character, since there is no faster way to find out the structure of the lamps. The installation process took 20-30 minutes for the first lamp and 10 minutes for the second lamp (I bought 2 dimmers) after learning the process. I bought 1600 lumen dimmable LED bulbs to give both bright and dim glow which the dimmer does well. If you make it quite dark, the LED will pulsate a bit, but I don't need a lamp with such a dim light, so it doesn't bother me.
