Okay, I see a lot of problems with tape. Yes, I tried taping it with the tape that came with it and it stuck like tires on ice. Here's the trick to getting it right because it looks AMAZING installed! The tape sucks, order from Revain or go to Home Depot and buy 3M Extreme Hold double-sided tape (about $20). Then remove the old tape from the cover and wipe the back and center console thoroughly with alcohol. Try rubbing in one direction only to remove Armor All, dust or whatever is inside. Then cut the new tape to fit the key areas. Then stick the tape on the bottom of the lid, and then the secret will be revealed; Take the lighter and quickly go over the tape after removing the red backing. You don't have to sit there and burn it, just walk over it very quickly. This will cure the adhesive on the tape for better adhesion. Then put the cover on the center console and it will become a permanent part of your jeep. You won't be disappointed if it doesn't look good. I hope this helps you.
