Update - Great lens, great price!

6 month update. I've had this lens for a while now and have changed it from 3 stars to 5 stars. First, I forgot to mention that I'm new to photography. I learned to better understand how to set aperture, ISO and shutter speed. After that I factory reset the lens and decided to hone my skills before fiddling with the settings. With lots of shots, trial and error, I finally got it right. At this point I learned that every lens has limitations and this one really only has one thing – light. I use it for wildlife, especially birds. When flying birds move, you need a quick shutter. So when it's cloudy, I tend to aim for stationary objects. Otherwise it produced great images (when I managed not to screw it up I included a photo of a ruby-throated hummingbird taken from about 20 feet away. Settings: f8.0, 1/1600 sec, ISO2000 at 600mm magnification (approx 930mm zoom on my cropped Nikon D5300 sensor) At f8.0 the lens starts to get fairly sharp and continues to around f14 where light becomes an issue Overall I don't see how anyone could be disappointed with this lens given the sharpness and range of action you get for the money I definitely recommend the Sigma 150-600mm (modern) So far the modern SIGMA 150-600mm has been in the 150 -400mm range a little disappointing but after that it seems I'm having trouble using the USB dock to try and make some focus adjustments but it was everywhere and it's hard to tell if it is Lens is or whether I'm on a stable status v Take a picture with a remote shutter release to avoid camera shake. Try again within a week and maybe contact the company to see if they have any ideas, otherwise it will most likely come back. I shoot with a Nikon D5300 which has taken some good astro photos so I'm pretty sure it's not the camera.
