My Surface Pro started charging incompletely and when I checked the cable it seemed to be overheating at the part that connects to the tablet's connector. This seems to be a design flaw as I'm not the only one with the issue (typical MS, works fine for a couple of years, then starts to have issues aside from lousy battery life hence continuous charging). The charger ended up failing and I'm looking for a MS replacement and they want almost $100 for a crappy replacement. Well, it's time to look for an alternative. This one seems to have a good rating. Works well, except for the huge price that Microsoft is trying to fool you into. It also has a longer cord which is a plus, almost twice the length of the OEM.
