I live in the northern countryside - lots of dark, rainy winter nights and little street lighting. Tried to replace the old foggy taillights and bulbs with little improvement. Tried a 6" 16w LED bulb on a bracket - helped but not much. They really helped! The side LED rings bounce off the taillight reflector for wide coverage while the LEDs under the top lens are just behind the truck focus. It's now much easier to see obstacles through rain-splattered mirrors and windows. Do a dry run before reinstalling lighting assemblies. They work both ways and only one is correct.
