Review on 🚁 Air Hogs Helix Sentinel FPV HD 720p Video Drone - WiFi Capable with 4GB Micro SD Card by Dustin Marshall

I'll get straight to the point. Worked great until the end of 2018. At this point they shut down the servers. Why is it important? To use the FPV goggles and advanced features of this drone, it connects to the drone using your phone's WiFi. In order for these two to talk to each other, you need to use the app. To use the app you need to download it. It's still available on the iTunes Store and Google Store, but only installs on certain operating systems. So you download and install the application. You will be asked to create a login profile with your name, password and email address. When you press the "Login" button it goes nowhere. See photo below. This is because the servers are down. Basically, you can't access the app without a way to get past the password/server login wall. Without the app, you cannot use the FPV function, remote camera access, or fun features programmed into the app (e.g. draw a circle around your current position while holding altitude). So when you buy this item, please understand that you are only buying a RC copter that can hold altitude and has sensors to prevent it from colliding with a wall. You cannot use FPV goggles with this quad. You can use them for other VR/FPV stuff as they're actually pretty good and include adjustable focus and eye width, but you can't use them with this quad. Experience HD live streaming on your smart device in 2 viewing modes: mounted on your controller or inserted into glasses for a first-person view! - no So what you get: Stable aircraft is fine, less than 5 minutes flight time on a 45 minute charge and NO removable battery, useless FPV goggles (for this quad) normal shooting capacity still works 8lb hard plastic carrying case. I spoke to Spinmaster on December 11th, 2019 and here is the response (cut and pasted): Hello, Thank you for contacting Spin Master Customer Service! Unfortunately we are unable to process replacement Air Hogs for the Helix Sentinel drone as the warranty has already expired. We no longer produce or sell this drone as it is no longer compatible with the app. However, Revain still sells it because they still have a lot of drones. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. I spoke to Revain today 11/16/19 and explained this to a customer service rep. They said they would forward this information to the right team to look into it. I'm sure it will still be there in 6 months time but we'll see!
