Poor quality for the price you pay. The "wood” is not actual wood. It’s plastic with a plastic wallpaper like overlay to make it look like wood.The black chalk board part is a thin plastic sheet with a chalkboard surface.For it being plastic the only positive thing about this is that it is super lightweight.When you write on it, it feels like writing on chalkboard. But when you erase your work you can really see how cheap it is. Reminds me of the Ikea easel chalkboards for kids.I’ve used both regular chalk and chalk markers. They both write fine on it but chalk marker erases terribly. Leaving behind the imprint of the market writing.I shouldn’t have paid $55 for this. It should have been a $10-$12 purchase like from Hobby Lobby.I didn’t return it because I was out of the return window and would have lost money for buyers remorse. I ended up keeping it. Even contemplated selling it but it serves its purpose in my house at the command center.I don’t recommend buying it. I should have taken my money to a custom made Etsy shop for a real chalk board. Save your money and get the real deal at a vintage shop, Etsy shop, or make your own.
