These containers are good for kids. I like stainless steel for kids as it doesn't break but slips a lot. These containers have a non-slip bottom, which is very convenient for children. The non-slip bottom is touted as useful in preventing hot containers from burning your hands. However, since stainless steel cannot be used in the microwave, this is a moot point for me. Lids close well and don't leak. My child can take them off and put them back on without help. Both the product description and the video state that these containers or lids should not be washed in the dishwasher. I understand the reason for the lids as they can warp and no longer be airtight. But I don't understand why containers are needed. Too bad, because I prefer to wash my hands as little as possible! Generally these are durable containers and lids. I love that they can be stacked together for storage. Saves space.
