Ideal for the first pair of hiking shoes. They move with the child's foot and have a comfortable, shock-absorbing insole. The outsole starts to curl and shift after a few weeks of daily wear, so we'll see if that becomes an issue. Overall easy to put on and take off. However, they are easy to remove when my son gets up and lies on the carpet. A way to tighten them up would be a nice addition to future designs. Overall happy with my purchase.
