Take the Xbox Controller if you want a simple connection and a higher possibility of having your controller detected automatically in PC games. Take a controller if you care about things like how it feels to use it, having a backup battery, gyroscope, and touchpad, and if the thought of installing and configuring these "crutches" doesn't give you hemorrhoids.
