Review on FITUEYES Universal Stand Adjustable TT103701GB by Joel Norfork

For flat back TVs like mine (LG Plasma TV 50 inch)

Fitüyez Universal TV Stand (for TVs 32-60 inch) is a beautiful, functional fixture. sufficient for its purpose. Its main weakness lies in the possible brittleness of the connection of the rack to the base plate ("mounting plate"). The latter is an elegant and shiny but brittle slab of black glass about 7mm (9/32 inch) thick. The issue that might confuse some users is that the assembly instructions consist of two pages of drawings with little to no text. Half of the first page shows the contents of a crate consisting of five components, labeled 1 through 5, and two plastic bags of gear, each labeled with a letter. For flat back TVs like mine (50 inch LG plasma TV) you only need the first pack. In the first step, five self-adhesive rubber rings ("legs") are attached to the lower (unpolished) side. base plate, four near each of the rounded corners and one midway between the two mounting holes and near the edge of the plate. I placed them about 1/8 inch from the edge of the glass. Next, attach a thick rounded vertical bar ("stand”) to the baseplate. The two pieces are joined by two long, thin pan head thumb screws that are designed to be hand tightened. It is extremely important to position the bottom cover of the stand correctly and to ensure that the stand is stable once assembled and cannot wobble sideways or rotate around the base. That's the system's Achilles' heel, in my opinion: if in the future you accidentally turn the TV around its vertical axis and the stand sticks to the table from friction, the stand can tip over on the stand and damage or break it. Glass and/or two bars. In the third step, the instructions point out how to attach the hanging board to the stand and show you how to use the top 4 holes in the stand. I do not agree! First you need to determine which holes to use. So first loosen the four screws on the back of the TV that are intended for wall mounting and use them to fasten the two vertical TV brackets. Please note the following: a) The hooks on each bracket should face down when in use to hang the TV on a hanging shelf; b) The brackets should be mounted as high as possible without protruding over the edge of the TV (due to the size of my TV there was only one option). The lower you place the brackets on the back of the TV, the higher the TV will end up hanging over the panel, which is undesirable (unstable!). After the brackets are in place, measure the distance D from the hooks to the bottom edge of the TV; Then attach the hanger board to the stand using four holes for this purpose, causing the top edge of the hanger board to be slightly more than D above the plate (there are three options available, of which I used the bottom four). holes). If you hang it too low, the TV won't clear the base. If it's too high, the TV will hang too high from the base, which can cause instability and increase the likelihood of it tipping over. Once finished, the stand cuts a good figure, even if it lacks rigidity, especially when twisting around the vertical axis. But once the TV is on the table, it will work adequately. However, do not bump the TV and use caution when moving the table on which the TV is placed for any reason (cleaning, adding connections, maintenance, etc.).

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • I vaguely remember
