Overall, this is a very cool sign. It works exactly as described and is very readable with good scrolling speed. However, it can be improved a little. First, as previously mentioned, the remote only works from outside the car (assuming it's on the rear window) as the IR receiver will show movement. This is a big bummer if you want to change the message or turn it off while driving. However, if you are comfortable with a soldering iron, you can carefully connect the IR extender cable to your existing IR receiver. I have a 5ft Monoprice IR Extender. It has 3 wires. Red goes to "+" (power), green to "-" (ground), and white to "S" (signal). The cable fits nicely in the existing cable duct next to the 12V DC cable The new receiver is now next to the back seat and works great! The expansion will be a great addition to future models. It's also on my wish list for this shield to get wider. Even a few inches more would be much better as long words are a bit difficult to read. Finally, the shield would be a lot easier to use if it could be programmed with a smartphone instead of a stupid remote control (although I'm not sure if that's possible). All in all damn cool!
