I bought a fabric storage bench to use as a new scratching post for my two cats so while looking for double sided tape I came across this. Before applying I smeared tape over the surfaces where I would apply double sided tape to remove the hair and then applied double sided tape. Unlike other reviews, I had no trouble removing the tape backing, so maybe they improved their design? The tape held up well even after my cats examined it, but there is one downside that I didn't think of before buying - the tape is sticky, so my cat's hair gets stuck to it, and your furniture inevitably shows look like they are hairy it. That's not the problem with the band itself, but rather the functionality. I am therefore changing it and it is not necessarily cheap
