This is a reliable and easy to use clip. It's nice that it comes with a 2908 bolt (Manfrotto code #036), but you can also get a 2907 (Manfrotto 037 reversible short bolt) because it's the one with a 3/8" thread that fits most tripod heads and an adjustable extension from Manfrotto is! It will also be flush with the clamp while the pin they give you will be raised above the unit as shown in their picture. You can use one of those little adapters that are over 1/4" screw (I originally did) but that small screw on the adapter does not support heavier equipment and will cause the arm to come loose. Almost lost my field So I just ordered the 037 adapter. I recommend it if you plan to use a Manfrotto extension. Remember, your gear depends on it!
