This is adjustable and keeps my iPad at the correct reading angle. I used a shorter position. However, there is an extra piece that can be attached to allow the tablet to be extended even further. Adding an extension will make the holder unstable. Every time I touched the tablet to scroll or type something, the entire mount wobbled like it was on a spring. Movement can best be described with the word "Boing...". A screen that shakes every time you want to turn the page makes reading much more difficult.
