The teapot is beautiful! I have it on my kitchen table. The glass it's made of looks fragile, but it can be microwaved, stovetop heated and washed in the dishwasher. If I am correct you can also put a candle or candle under the pot to warm your tea or coffee. I plan to invite my long-lost cousin over soon. I think she will like this gesture and I can ask her if she would like tea or coffee. I've been looking for videos and guides on how to make coffee with a tea maker. To be honest I don't understand why I have trouble with this idea because it works the same or at least similar to how it works when you pour hot water over coffee grounds in a paper lined coffee cone filter. The base has a pair of holes on the sides for heat dissipation. In addition, there is a metal cutout between the two parts. Metal conducts heat so I think this may answer one of my questions about this kit. If you plan to put this set in the microwave I remove all metal parts. I believe this is how it works if you want to keep your tea or coffee warm with a votive lamp/candle that fits in the mold at the very bottom. Easy cleaning. Hand or machine wash. Very well made and more durable than I think. This item is a great buy! This item under $40 would make a wonderful gift. Something I will enjoy for years to come. I know when I get it for the holidays someone will enjoy opening the package in our gift giving game. Enjoy!
