We spend a lot of time on the water in the summer and although our phones are waterproof, they don't swim. They are perfect for our needs! They detach from the foam ring and easily attach to our phone cases. They are very secure when plugged in so you don't have to worry about your phone slipping out. The styrofoam rings are a bit bulky but I think they have to be to keep the phone/camera afloat. We will be anchoring frequently, throwing some tubes/floats in the water and attaching a bluetooth speaker to the back of the boat. We'll hook up our phones to the handsets with these floats and relax without having to return to the boat to change the music. It's also nice to be able to take photos without worrying about our phones falling in the water. We use ours all summer and so far so good!
