Love the sleek look but I was expecting the lid/top of the canister to have some sort of rubber/silicone gasket to keep the lid airtight. I use it for Splenda sugar and I'm afraid the lid will come off when pouring and I'll end up making a mess on all my countertops. I may have been lucky as the Splenda is very light, but I doubt the lid will stay in place with something heavier like rice inside.
