Become a Digi Destined

It took me a while to figure out how this little device works, but now that I figured it out it's really fun. It doesn't look like your traditional Digimon virtual pet. There are no elements of care, your Digimon will not die, poop or starve. He will get hurt, but that will only affect his ability to fight. Additionally, the evolution is temporary and must be earned by successfully battling it enough times. This device is entirely in Japanese, but it's easy to understand what each function is. All I had to figure out was that in battle the second option (after unlocking) is to evolve and the third option is to change the Digimon (again after unlocking). Gameplay is simple, just clip it to your belt and walk or just shake it to activate the pedometer and your Digimon will "walk" with you. During the walk you will encounter enemies. Then press the top button to attack, if you press enough you will hit the enemy, fail and the enemy will hit you. If you don't attack the enemy, they will damage your Digimon, so pay attention to the little beeps. It might be best not to take the Digimon anywhere very loud, as the horns can be awfully quiet. Also be very careful, I wouldn't trust this clip to hold a digital camera on your belt. The shirt pocket is much better, but be careful not to bend over so it doesn't fall out. At a certain point you will unlock more Digimon. If you defeat the boss Digimon holding him captive, he will join your team and you can switch between them. Their Digimon sleeps at night, after that they can't anymore. Leaving your Digimon alone for too long will leave you with an angry face, but this seems almost inevitable as they view the time they sleep as a time of separation. I don't think it has any negative impact on the game? Anyway, I haven't found any. I wouldn't recommend buying it unless you're a die-hard Digimon fan and collector. If you're interested in virtual pets, I'd recommend the cheaper and more traditional but very feature-rich Digimon version. The 20th, which Revain calls the "Original Digimon," might not look like the anime device, but it's a lot cheaper and offers a more traditional Digimon experience. But it's a great LCD game for the most die-hard fans, and for some of you, it serves as a cosplay prop.
