Review on πŸ–ŠοΈ The Friendly Swede Stylus Pens: Micro-Knit Mesh Tip Capacitive Stylus for Touch Screens - 3 Pack, Ideal for Tablets and Phones with Replaceable Fiber Tip Design by Tommie Lawson

Improved stylus outperforms older competitive models (3 minor modifications recommended)

I have bought other brands of electrostatic pens for touch screen devices in the past. These earlier models had a thin rubber dome tip that often cracked easily after a short period of use, making them unsuitable for continued touchscreen use. The Friendly Swede design features a threaded head with a knitted fiber tip that screws into the pen grip. In use, these needle heads can unscrew from the handle. It is best to intercept this procedure before the unscrewed head is completely unscrewed and out of sight on the floor. Placing a small lock washer or silicone O-ring between the handpiece head and the pen handle can help prevent the head from unscrewing unintentionally. An added benefit of the O-ring is that it makes your stylus waterproof. These newly developed stylus pens have knitted fiber tips that normally provide enough electrostatic charge to trigger the sensors. Successful actuation of the new stylus averaged an unprecedented 94% actuation rate. With the old design, the average response rate was only 68%. Trigger rate is simply the number of successful touchscreen sensor activations for each pen tap on the onscreen sensor. Only one series of 100 clicks for each designer stylus (total = 200 clicks) was performed on the same Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone with a protective glass cover attached to the touchscreen. (No scientific study). Knitted tips, in contrast to the thin, easily torn, domed rubber tips, proved to be much more durable, lasting more than three times longer than rubber-tipped tips. Another benefit of these redesigned pens is that the tips are interchangeable, which is not the case with older designs. , a tapered bar that fits into the audio jack and prevents the phone and strap from pulling apart. At 14 inches long, this stretchable lanyard is too large for my purposes compared to the older design (non-stretchable cable) at just over 2 inches, so I cut the guy line in half and reattached an end connector; With a 7 inch stretch line, the audio jack plug can stay connected while using the pen and your phone. Small clamps on either end of the guy line allow the guy line to be detached from its tiny connectors. Apparently, as the tension lengthens the line, it also gets a little smaller in diameter. Eventually the wire will be thin enough to detach from the connector. To reattach this, spread the tiny tabs of the little connector, then stretch the end of your cord until it's thin enough to feed into the groove in the clip formed by the split tabs. Using needle nose pliers or a smaller clip, squeeze the clip tabs along the line and secure in place. Apply a drop of superglue to the remaining gap between the clamp's tabs and to the end of the cut line, simply by sticking its tip out of the clamped tabs. This will help attach your guy lines to the connectors on either end of the line. The 3-pen kit includes 3 pens with attached fiber-tipped heads; 3 additional threaded tips that screw into the base of the stylus grip; 3 elastic laces; and a small microfiber cloth. A light and gentle cleaning solution, similar to that used to clean LCD screens, can be used with a microfiber cloth to periodically clean the pen and ribbon. pin/string).
