Check all the bases on the electrics

I just installed this and it seems to meet basically all the criteria I have: 1. Flexible elastic cord that lies flat when stretched. This one isn't bad. I have more flexible cables but they are all 16/3. Considering this cable is 14 gauge, it's still pretty good. I reviewed a similar version from a well-known brand and found the cable to be too stiff, which is the main reason I went with this option.2. Simple and reliable ratcheting mechanism. So far, so good. It rotates in 1-foot increments and is supported by casters on the cord exit. There is no error when it is activated or released.3. Circuit breaker on the body, not the pigtail. My installation is overhead. I need a button within reach.4. 3 (or more) sockets at the end of the cable. It has 3. An additional nice feature that I wasn't looking for but appreciate is that it has power indicator LEDs on both the base block and the case. I notice that some comments criticize the ease of installation. I had no problems. The bracket has keyhole holes. Provided you've measured and pre-installed the screws correctly, the mount simply slides into place. The bracket does not need to be removed. The thing is pretty heavy, so if you took the strut off it would be a bit difficult to put it back together without a helper. I would only install this on drywall if using long screws in a stud or joist. Several people rejected the device because it didn't come with mounting screws. I don't think that's fair. Screws for installation where, on a tree? masonry? hollow block? I hung it from a metal flange on a garage door track so I had to use mounting bolts and nuts. You cannot expect one manufacturer to cover all of these options. Someone asked in the questions section if this can be used outdoors. The answer isn't forever. The literature expressly states that it can only be used in dry places. You can pre-install a few screws somewhere outside and on dry days take the unit out and put it on the screws temporarily and then bring it back inside.
