It's nice to be able to clone RFID (non-NFC) tags as there aren't many simple solutions to make it easily accessible . However, this comes with some important caveats.1. After writing (successfully) to the provided tag, I tried to overwrite it with a different key. It failed every time. I contacted the support service and they told me that sometimes this happens and the programmable tag can be "reformatted" by pressing the buttons on the key fob: + β³ β β» + β³ β β». This solved the problem but was not stated anywhere in the accompanying documentation or online. If I hadn't contacted them, it would have been a useless product after the first 3 minutes of use.2. I tried to learn and clone 3 different RFID tags. Everything worked (at least as far as the status display is concerned). When attempting to render RFID tags on the reader, only 1 out of 3 was successful, either from the key fob or from the provided tag. One of those that failed was the Indala brand, which they specifically listed as compatible on their website.3. If you use this to make copies of your tags for your friends, copy the RFID into the fob and then clone it back into the new tag. However, there's no feature that lets you remove that learned tag from the fob, so you'll be walking around with your friend's RFID until you have another device that can overwrite that learned slot. Wiping any of the buttons should be easy.
