Review on Xiaomi Book Pro 16 OLED 2022 i7-1260P RTX2050 16/512 (JYU4487CN) by Janis Liekmanis ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Satisfied with the purchase one hundred percent, I recommend the product for everyone.

Bought from China (Ali). Much cheaper than local prices. It does not have a 2022 layout, but it can be easily done in many places, by laser engraving, it will even be highlighted. I don’t know the battery life, I didn’t measure it, because I use almost always from the outlet. Before him, he had a premium Huawei Matebook X Pro, consider this. I recommend the laptop for purchase, and rather the i5 version.

Pros
  • - Premium build quality. The body is monolithic. Even if you hold the corner, there is not the slightest creak or deflection, and this is with a weight of 1.8 kg. - Premium glass touchpad with electronic pressing and vibration feedback, which allows you to press anywhere on the touchpad with a pleasant and uniform effort. Well calibrated. - One of the best screen solutions - 4k HDR OLED matrix with glossy Gorilla glass. High definition allows you to set a smaller scaling in the system and put more on the screen, while everything will be clearly visible. The maximum contrast of OLED technology makes text more readable and content viewing very enjoyable. The standard brightness is about 350cd/m, and in HDR it can reach 600cd/m. This brightness is enough for you to work in any room. - The screen is calibrated from the factory and has natural colors, only you need to enable HDR on a permanent basis (there will be correct colors for both SDR content and HDR). - The i5 processor provides high performance, especially in single-threaded. The integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics is enough for a screen of this resolution, everything is fast in Windows, even 8k video plays without problems. The i7 version has the same maximum power supply, so it will provide a minimum of additional power. - Keyboard at the level of other premium ultrabooks. Plus has Home, End, etc. - The fingerprint scanner works well. If the laptop was in sleep mode and you woke it up with the power button, then when you wake it up, it will immediately enter the system. - All 3 USB-C ports support monitor output as well as charging. One even Thunderbolt, which allows you to use an eGPU (and this solution is better than buying with an RTX 2050). - Windows 11 Home out of the box, licensed, activated, in 2022. Even when ordering from China. - Fast and stable Wifi 6E from Intel in the case of the version with i5 (with i7 there is still problematic Realtec) - Fast charging 100W with a compact GaN power supply that can charge any other devices
Cons
  • - No version with more RAM / ROM than 16 / 512 (at least officially) - Mediocre quality of the built-in speakers (the voice is pleasant to listen to, high standards, but the music is definitely not) - Mediocre webcam quality (like many other laptops) - USB-C ports only, most will need to buy a hub (1 USC-C to USB-A adapter included) - Touchpad with one click gradation, making a right click is not very convenient - There are no software standards from the manufacturer, only Chinese (but there are no problems with the drivers, everything is out of the box and can be downloaded from the site)
