A bit tacky, the finish looks more like metallic spray paint than matte in photos. It doesn't look like aluminum but rather a shaded alloy of tungsten and nickel. Grinding against another shelf isn't like aluminum. Can't be installed with vertical screws, you need to go in at a 20 degree angle from the top, so the trim knobs don't look good when screwed on. Doesn't make sense because they could make the mounting hole a half inch deeper then you could bring a screwdriver to the front and it wouldn't be a problem. the instructions were in german which was nice, seriously i haven't read much german since college. I didn't use glue because I was claiming I could screw it in. For some reason there isn't enough glue to hold it up so they include these strips of tape to hold it up. It seems the tape should hold it up while the glue sets. I can't say anything about the gluing method. I used my own screws after sucking in their screws. To be honest I'm suspicious of these verified purchase reviews which don't reflect my experience. Overall I would not recommend it nor buy it again. To be honest it now gives me more motivation to redecorate the bathroom and put in some nice teak shelves etc.
