This is a handy knee pad for cross country flights - it will help keep all your papers off your knees on the ground when trying to land at an unfamiliar airport! My only complaint is that the cutaway diagram is too long for the clipboard so it ends up hanging down and getting in the way. Unfortunately, since I'm taller in my Cessna 172, when I strap it to my leg it gets in the way of the yoke if you pull it back too far, like on takeoff. I learned this the hard way when a crosswind picked up shortly after take off and I couldn't turn the yoke far enough to correct the situation!
