2011 GMC Sierra 1500: Replaced two 3047 rear bulbs on each side. Direction indicators hyper-flashing (very rapid flashing). I could splice terminators for each bulb, but why? Just to have a brighter bulb that lasts longer than the OEM? Load resistors get very hot during operation. If you are in traffic with the brakes on and the turn signals on, the load resistor can get so hot that it melts the plastic. waste electricity. Eventually the load resistor will fail unless you buy a very large high power resistor. I don't spend another $10 or more on resistors or waste time wiring taillights. Don't waste time trying to make your taillights a little brighter. I am disappointed to say the least. The supplier must indicate which conventional vehicles require termination resistors.
