Not for Small SUVs (CRV). For a standard hitch you NEED an adapter. Mine fell on the track and yes I went after it. He's all scratched up but too beat up to get him back. Now I have to find something to make him stay. It's plastic, so next time I'll pay more for a metal one. Unfortunately I got what I paid for.
