Review on 🍲 Sous Vide Precision Cooker - Instant Accu Slim™ Immersion Circulator, 800W by Carol Taylor

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Cable incredibly short, clip on thin side

First good. Man, that was very well packed. Good, because it could hang freely in the Revain shipping box. It was packed in its own box, then another box was placed on top of the well-made heavy foam box that the device was placed in. The cord is short and I had to use an extension cord to turn it on. The clip is on the thin side and will flex slightly when pressure is applied. I couldn't tell exactly when it was being pressed against my potty other than by lifting the device up and down a bit to see if it was pinched. I couldn't tell at all how the knob felt and over-tightening will likely break the plastic clip, so caution is advised in that regard. I was thinking of making something as a first use, but just before it arrived I had an idea that I wanted to try. I have my own bees and enjoy raw, unfiltered honey. Unfortunately, this type of bottled honey hardens. Place the bottle in a plastic bag and immerse it in a bath of warm water to return it to its liquid state. The problem is that you don't want to heat it up too much and you need to keep it warm for many hours. The fact that a sous vide immersion heater can maintain a constant temperature of 100F should make it perfect for turning my solid honey back into liquid. This is my first job for my Instant Pot Sous Vide Immersion Boiler. I'll write again when I've used it for purposes other than honey melting. I would give 5 stars, except for the poorly printed operating instructions (see photo), the print is very dull when cooking. Why not bold everything so the person can actually see the information? I melted my honey. I also tried soft boiled eggs at 164F for 45 minutes as recommended and they were perfect, which is saying something. If you want to cook perfect eggs in the shell, this is fine. More later when I use it more.
