Not waterproof, good for backpacking
We went on a 9 day canoe trip. Put it in a dry bag as it was NOT waterproof. The entire contents of my backpack got wet except for the pieces of paper that were placed in a zippered plastic compartment (and they got wet). Otherwise a good backpack - very spacious, light and with several compartments. But if you're looking for something waterproof, look elsewhere.
