Review on 🎧 ECS WordSmith USB In-Ear Transcription Headset with Advanced Noise Reduction by Tina Walker

Not as good as it used to be.

Updated 6/10/2018. They went from pretty good to TERRIBLE. I had to buy a new pair to replace the ones I bought in November 2015. Presumably some "upgrades" were made to the set. The cords now have a braided finish. This makes the cable feel secure between the USB port and the remote, and that's where it stops. The cables that attach the headphones to the remote feel very fragile and very flimsy, despite being covered in the same braided cable. The cables also disconnect when they come out of the control switch and the shirt clip doesn't hold either cable securely. My biggest complaint continues to be that there's no rubber boot at the base of the earbuds to reduce stress on the cables holding them to the earbuds. Finally this braided cord on the headphones. When I work and turn my head, the braided cable catches on my shirt and then the noise is transmitted to my headphones. November 2015 - I love these. A speech I have to deal with every day. The downside is that the cables going to the headphones feel very fragile. I bought my kit for work in May 2015 and the left earbud stopped working on November 25th. They never leave my desk and I take great care of them, but I really can't afford to change them every six months. They cost money for what they do but not worth it in terms of durability.
